I started a new language exchange app to practice Japanese and maybe make some friends. But god damn there’s so many menists and racists using this app. Though I keep forgetting that many of them love to gravitate to Japan specifically because they like the gender inequality and the lack of PC culture. Course I couldn’t help myself when they were trying to spread disinformation to Japanese college students about Trump being the second coming of Christ.

The first two guys were being pure trolls blaming everything on “millenials” and “overemotional women” so they were easy to dismantle. The third guy was a pseudo intellectual trying to hide his racism behind the facade of Trump being the better choice economically and diplomatically. Took a little while, but I got him to unravel and finally get him to reveal his racism. Douche kept saying there was no real discrimination in the US. Why do people like this try so hard to not acknowledge police brutality and you know all the other evidence around them?

I know some people would tell me to ignore it, but these guys are considered “handsome” and would probably be worshiped in Japan just for being overconfident white dudebros. Just really sick of having to work twice as hard to get the minimum amount of respect. Still gotta even out the playing field by getting more fit and getting a better wardrobe.

“whats ur least favourite thing about japan?”

it’s so weirdly common to be rude to people who need subtitles or want subtitles as if it’s some kind of nuisance to have subtitles, but honestly? normalize having subtitles on everything. overall it can help people with language barriers who can read better than they can listen to a language, it helps people with comprehension issues, it helps people who have trouble hearing, it helps in general so whatever you’re watching isn’t interrupted by someone asking what someone just said, just put subtitles on! what the hell!
